There are many events that you have in your life that you want to make special. With modern times comes modern convenience’s. Many people today will just use Facebook or text message to create an event and send out invites. Other’s will go out and buy generic decorations or thank you gifts. for those stuck for time that is all good. However, for events that you want people to realise are important and distinguish them from others, sometimes those small little touches make the difference. It can just be the invites. Remember they are the first thing people see when you tell them about your event.

For a family event that we wanted people to others to make a big deal with we handmade these invites. They were quick and easy and made people take note of that special occasion. We made the invites more personal by adding a photo of the person we were celebrating. You can add photos for many different invites or even thank you. A wedding or birth thank you with a photo makes people remember the event well after the date.
For an event that you want to have fun at try making some of your own decorations. Personalising a sign, making something that can’t be brought commercially will help add to the atmosphere of your event. For a recent baby shower we made raindrops to hang under an umbrella and under tissue clouds. Very inexpensive but that one touch is what many people were talking about on the day.

We handmade the thank you tags that were attached to our gifts. Having a handmade tag can even make an inexpensive gift look special. Remember that a thank you gift is something that people take home with them and will show others. Having that non commercial touch to those gifts makes a person feel appreciated.

I hope that these little ideas will help inspire you to make those personal touches to your event.

Hi Alicia thank you for visiting my page. I have welded to images together in CCR to make the tag. It’s a girl is from the artiste cartridge and the flower cutout is from the art philosophy. If you are not confident on welding images I do have it on a CCR file I can send to you.
